This vibrant event marked the 50-day countdown to the <em>International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025<\/em> and the launch of the <strong>Yoga Sangam Portal<\/strong>, a landmark digital platform enabling synchronized Yoga celebrations across over 1,00,000 locations nationwide on 21st June 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"624\" height=\"468\" src=\"https:\/\/digitalwarta.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-529\" style=\"width:839px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/digitalwarta.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image.png 624w, https:\/\/digitalwarta.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image-300x225.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 624px) 100vw, 624px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was graced by <strong>Shri Prataprao Jadhav<\/strong>, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Ayush, and Minister of State for Health &amp; Family Welfare. Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Shri Jadhav remarked, <em>\u201cNashik, a sacred city enriched by great souls, fills me with pride. Yoga, once India&#8217;s ancient tradition, is now embraced worldwide. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our Hon&#8217;ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Yoga today is the foundation of life for millions globally.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He further announced, <em>\u201cWith the launch of the Yoga Sangam Portal on Nashik\u2019s sacred soil, we take a monumental step towards celebrating IDY 2025 as a decade-long global festival. Yoga Sangam is more than a celebration; it is a powerful global movement promoting health and unity.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Yoga Sangam initiative<\/strong> is one of ten signature events planned for the 11th International Day of Yoga. Designed as a decentralized yet synchronized Yoga demonstration, it aims to create a ripple effect of well-being, as hundreds of thousands come together in unison across India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Distinguished guests at the Yoga Mahotsav included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Shri Bhaskar Murlidhar Bhagare<\/strong>, MP, Lok Sabha, Nashik<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Smt. Devyani Suhas Pharande<\/strong>, MLA, Nashik Central<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Smt. Seema Hiray<\/strong>, MLA, Nashik West<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Shri Rahul Uttamrao Dhikale<\/strong>, MLA, Nashik East<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lt. Gen. Dr. Madhuri Kanitkar<\/strong>, VC, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dr. Vishwas Mandlik<\/strong>, Head, Yoga Vidya Gurukul, Nashik<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ms. Monalisa Dash<\/strong>, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Ayush<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Welcoming the guests, Ms. Monalisa Dash highlighted India\u2019s timeless principle, <em>\u201cVasudhaiva Kutumbakam\u201d<\/em>\u2014the world is one family\u2014symbolizing global brotherhood and harmony through Yoga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event focused on the <strong>Common Yoga Protocol (CYP)<\/strong>, developed by leading experts to integrate practices like <em>Pranayama<\/em> and <em>Dhyana<\/em> into daily routines for enhanced flexibility, strength, and balance. Demonstrators from the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), led by <strong>Dr. Kashinath Samagandi<\/strong>, showcased the CYP live. Over 6,000 participants performed in unison, creating a vibrant atmosphere of collective energy, streamed live across the Ministry of Ayush\u2019s social media platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This Nashik Mahotsav is part of a larger nationwide movement leading to IDY 2025.
