The event, attended by over 180 global dignitaries, highlighted India\u2019s transformative approach to combining <strong>economic growth with social inclusion<\/strong> under the leadership of <strong>Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Mandaviya emphasized that <em>\u201cIndia has demonstrated that a nation can empower millions by merging digital innovation with financial inclusion.\u201d<\/em> He cited that India\u2019s <strong>digital infrastructure<\/strong> now ensures <strong>seamless welfare delivery to over 1.4 billion citizens<\/strong>, reflecting a robust and inclusive development framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Minister highlighted major achievements across the <strong>three pillars of social development<\/strong>\u2014poverty eradication, employment, and social inclusion:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>170 million new jobs<\/strong> created between 2016\u201317 and 2023\u201324<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Women\u2019s employment participation doubled<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Unemployment rate<\/strong> declined from <strong>6% to 3.2%<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Social protection coverage<\/strong> expanded from <strong>19% (2015)<\/strong> to <strong>64.3% (2025)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These milestones earned India the <strong>International Social Security Association Award<\/strong> for Outstanding Achievement in Social Security this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In bilateral meetings, Dr. Mandaviya engaged with the <strong>Minister of Labour, Mauritius<\/strong>, and <strong>Ms. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana<\/strong>, Executive Secretary of <strong>UNESCAP<\/strong>, to enhance cooperation on <strong>skills development, labour mobility<\/strong>, and <strong>digital social protection frameworks<\/strong>.
