{"id":679,"date":"2025-11-12T03:36:11","date_gmt":"2025-11-12T03:36:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/digitalwarta.live\/?p=679"},"modified":"2025-11-12T03:36:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-12T03:36:13","slug":"shri-manohar-lal-inaugurates-indias-first-mwh-scale-vanadium-flow-battery-at-ntpc-netra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/digitalwarta.live\/?p=679","title":{"rendered":"Shri Manohar Lal Inaugurates India\u2019s First MWh-Scale Vanadium Flow Battery at NTPC NETRA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>New Delhi, November 12, 2025:<\/strong> In a significant milestone for India\u2019s clean energy transition, <strong>Shri Manohar Lal<\/strong>, Hon\u2019ble <strong>Minister of Power and Housing &amp; Urban Affairs<\/strong>, inaugurated the <strong>country\u2019s first and largest MWh-scale Vanadium Redox Flow Battery (VRFB) system<\/strong> of <strong>3 MWh capacity<\/strong> at <strong>NTPC NETRA<\/strong>, Greater Noida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The state-of-the-art system represents a <strong>major leap in long-duration energy storage (LDES)<\/strong> technologies, paving the way for <strong>enhanced renewable energy integration and improved grid stability<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his visit to NTPC\u2019s R&amp;D Centre, the Minister was accompanied by <strong>Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power)<\/strong>, <strong>Shri Piyush Singh, Additional Secretary<\/strong>, and other senior officials from the Ministry of Power. He was received by <strong>Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC<\/strong>, along with the NTPC leadership team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lauding NTPC NETRA\u2019s pioneering efforts, Shri Manohar Lal commended the team for <strong>developing innovative solutions to address India\u2019s energy transition and security challenges<\/strong>. He noted that India\u2019s progress in <strong>research, innovation, and indigenous technology development<\/strong> is setting new global benchmarks for <strong>sustainable growth and energy resilience<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Vanadium Redox Flow Battery (VRFB)<\/strong>, an advanced energy storage technology, is emerging as a <strong>viable alternative to traditional lithium-ion batteries<\/strong>.
