The Third Technical Hindi Symposium (Takniki Hindi Sangoshthi) “Abhyuday-3” was successfully organised at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, concluding today after a two-day programme. The symposium was jointly organised by Indian Institute of Technology Indore, Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, and the CSIR–National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR–NIScPR), with the objective of promoting the use of Technical Hindi and strengthening science and technology outreach to society.

During the inaugural session, the symposium souvenir and related publications were released. The Director of IIT Indore highlighted the importance of Technical Hindi, effective science communication, and the need to bridge research and innovation with the general public.

Addressing the gathering, C. B. Singh, Chief Scientist, CSIR–NIScPR, emphasised the development of Technical Hindi and the role of communication in taking scientific research to wider sections of society. He underscored CSIR–NIScPR’s longstanding contribution to Hindi science communication, including the publication of the popular science magazine Vigyan Pragati since 1952.

The symposium featured invited lectures on science, engineering, digital technologies, and innovation, along with two paper presentation sessions in which 25 participants presented their research in Hindi. A cultural evening on the first day included a folk song performance by Bhehru Singh Chauhan, followed by a Vigyan Kavi Sammelan, chaired by renowned writer and science communicator Santosh Choubey.

A science magic show by mentalist Harish Yadav added an engaging dimension to the event. The symposium concluded with invited lectures and a valedictory session, reaffirming the commitment of the organising institutions to promote science and technology communication in Hindi and strengthen its connect with society.
