New Delhi | 6 January 2026 : Indusfood Manufacturing 2026, along with FoodTech 4.0, commenced today at Yashobhoomi, India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC), New Delhi, marking the launch of a major national platform focused on food processing, packaging, automation, and advanced manufacturing technologies. The event is organised by the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) and brings together stakeholders from across the food processing value chain, including manufacturers, technology providers, policymakers, startups, and global partners.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Avinash Joshi, Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India. Addressing the gathering, he emphasised that value addition and technology adoption are critical to generating employment, increasing farmers’ incomes, and boosting exports.

Highlighting India’s strengths, Shri Joshi stated that the country has surplus agricultural production, a robust manufacturing base, and a young, skilled workforce. He underlined the need to strengthen food processing through quality enhancement and modern technologies to convert this potential into sustainable economic growth. He noted that platforms such as Indusfood Manufacturing play a vital role in enabling industry-led innovation and global market integration.

The inaugural session was attended by Mohit Singla, Chairman, TPCI; Yashvir Singh, Economic Adviser, Agriculture SMD, Department of Commerce; Volker Klima, Head of Agriculture & Food Division, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany; Vikram Mulmule, Regional Sales Head, JBT Marel, USA; **World Bank Group representative Vikas Kanungo; Rajashekar Venkat, President, Mamta Machinery Ltd.; and Sunil Mehta, President, Automation Industries Association.

Over the coming days, Indusfood Manufacturing 2026 and FoodTech 4.0 will host live technology showcases, policy discussions, conferences, and business-to-business interactions. The event is expected to strengthen India’s position as a future-ready, sustainable, and export-oriented food manufacturing hub, aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
