Delhi (04 Dec.) : The National Communications Academy-Finance (NCA-F), Ghitorni— a “Sarvotkrisht” 5 Star-rated Central Training Institute under the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India — celebrated Purple Fest 2025 on 3rd December 2025 with great enthusiasm. The event was organised in collaboration with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and reaffirm the nation’s commitment to an inclusive and accessible society.

The Fest was inaugurated by Ms. V. Vidyavathi, Secretary, DEPwD, who highlighted the need to break mental and social barriers that hinder inclusivity. The Director General, NCA-F, called upon participants to strengthen collective commitments towards compassion, inclusive learning, and empowerment. Senior officers from DEPwD, including the Deputy Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities (CCPD), graced the event and provided valuable guidance.

The day-long celebration featured a series of thoughtfully curated activities, including an inspirational address by Ms. Ira Singhal, IAS, simulation sessions conducted by NGOs, and interactive programmes designed to deepen understanding and empathy regarding accessibility challenges. A total of 176 Officer Trainees of the 2025 batch from 15 All India and Central Civil Services—currently undergoing the Special Foundation Course at NCA-F in collaboration with LBSNAA, Mussoorie—participated with dedication, alongside NCA-F faculty and staff.

A Training of Trainers (ToT) programme was conducted by the Deputy CCPD for NCA-F faculty members, supplemented by simulation exercises aimed at sensitisation and awareness-building.

Adding vibrancy to the event, stalls and exhibitions by Divyangjan entrepreneurs, including children and young adults, showcased creative products and innovations. Their participation drew enthusiastic engagement from Officer Trainees, visitors, and residents, offering visibility, recognition, and opportunities for economic empowerment.

Purple Fest 2025 stood as a tribute to resilience, talent, and aspiration—celebrating diversity and the shared responsibility of building an empathetic, equitable, and accessible society for all.
