Nandurbar (Dec.15): Anil Vasave, a dedicated student from Khandesh Education Society College of Education and Physical Education, is poised to embark on an extraordinary international expedition, aiming to conquer both Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse. The ambitious venture, scheduled from April 3 to June 7, 2024, under the expert guidance of seasoned Everesteer Anand Bansode, presents Vasave with a rare opportunity to etch his name in the annals of mountaineering history.
Having previously conquered Africa’s highest peak, Kilimanjaro, and Europe’s towering Mount Elbrus, Anil Vasave has already demonstrated his prowess by reaching the Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, making him the first tribal youth to achieve this feat. Hailing from Nandurbar district, he aspires to be the inaugural athlete from the region to triumph over the world’s highest peak, adding to his impressive list of accomplishments.
Expressing gratitude to the people of Nandurbar, Vasave conveyed, “I cannot adequately express the support and devotion bestowed upon me by the people of Nandurbar. Their unwavering encouragement fuels my determination, and I am forever indebted to individuals of all ages who rallied behind me during previous campaigns.”
To fund is required to this expedition is an estimated around 32 lakhs, Anil Vasave is reaching out to various corporations and NGOs for support. Confident and dedicated, he stated, “I am preparing for this monumental challenge well in advance, believing that dreams should manifest into reality through unwavering determination.”
